Nick is the perfect choice for your mid-morning entertainment. He kicks off with a Golden Year for you to guess at 10am and your job is to work out the mystery year from the music and the clues.

Just after 11am Nick invites you to vote for your favourite song from the Superstar of the Week.

If you can make it to Top of The Class as 12:30 he'll sort you out a prize.

Just after 1 o'clock every weekday afternoon he puts your musical knowledge to the test and win with Nick Wright's Pop Music!

Profile

Nick was born in the pretty Cotswold village of Broadway and brought up in and around the Midlands, although he seems to have lived and worked in most parts of the country.

On leaving school he qualified as a motor mechanic before moving into retail management and even a spell as a chauffeur to 80’s pop stars Marillion and Howard Jones.

Nick has lived in and around the North since 1990 and says he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It has something for everyone, great towns and cities, a wonderful coastline and plenty of people who know how to enjoy themselves!
