Andy Hinchcliffe

Andy Hinchcliffe was famous as a player for never doing any media interviews. He's making up for it now though. Trying to get him to button it is very difficult, as you'll know if you've been one of the many callers to his phone-in.
A former City and England star, Andy was a defender with style in his playing days. Just put his name into Youtube and you'll discover a whole host of sweetly-struck left-foot free kicks that sailed miles high and even further wide. If you look very hard you might find the odd one he scored, too. Since joining Key 103 Andy's cult status amongst Blues fans (he scored the 5th in their 5-1 derby win over United in 1989 apparently) has sky-rocketed (like one of his free kicks), and as the City pundit on Total Football he'll be there for all the ups and downs of City's season.
Andy (we call him 'the Chinch') played seven times for his country, against some of the big powers of world football including Saudi Arabia and Moldova, and won the FA Cup during his time at Everton. After getting relegated with Sheffield Wednesday he decided to retire from playing because his knees hurt a bit. But the treatment table's loss is Key 103's gain, and he's returned to watching his boyhood team for us.
You'll be able to call him after full commentary of every Blues match too on our phone-in Talking Football, where you can ask him anything, agree, disagree, quarrel or simply laugh at the size of his magnificent chin.
In his spare time, Andy likes felling trees and building decking, all the time wearing a nice red-and-black-checked lumberjack shirt.
