Key 103 & Magic 1152's Cash for Kids is raising money to support disadvantaged children across Greater Manchester lead a better life.
Key 103 & Magic 1152's Cash for Kids (formerly Manchester Kids) is a local charity supporting local children. All the money raised stays within the boundaries of Greater Manchester supporting children living in difficult circumstances.
We are a grant giving charity allocating funds to local charitable and voluntary projects that work directly with disadvantaged children We have supported over 350 projects dealing with poverty, neglect, disability and distress affecting children across Greater Manchester providing better recreational facilities and safe spaces.
Our objective is to help local children live a better life
Last year Key 103 & Magic 1152's Cash for Kids raised over £427,000 for the local community, supporting 12,215 children across Greater Manchester.
Grants awarded to community projects working directly with disadvantaged children was up by 40% on last year.
In conjunction with raising cash for community projects, Key 103 & Magic 1152's Cash for Kids also collects products and services donated by local businesses and community groups.
Silentnight donated £87,000 of product to help brighten children's bedrooms.
Waste Management, a recycling specialist, donated surplus stock of art equipment, which we are able to distribute to the many projects we work with across Manchester.
We host a Toy Appeal every Christmas to ensure that the most disadvantaged children across our city have a gift to open on Christmas day.
Last year our supporters donated over £136,000 of toys, which were distributed to thousands of children in time for Christmas Eve. This was made possible thanks to the support of our sponsors Stepping Stones and Stagecoach.
