The first glimpse of the biopic
The first trailer for Martin Scorcese’s eagerly anticipated George Harrison biopic ‘Living In The Material’ world has premiered on YouTube.
Set for release on DVD and Blu Ray on 5th October, the BBC documentary follows every aspect of Harrison’s life including growing up in Liverpool, the explosion of Beatlemania, his assimilation with Indian culture, his life as a film producer and right through to his untimely death in 2001.
Interspersed with archive footage of George, the film boasts previously unseen interviews with his son Dhani and wife Olivia (who also co-produces), Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Yoko Ono and Tom Petty.
Four years in the making, Scorcese juggled work on the film with shooting his 2010 psychological thriller Shutter Island.
