A post mortem examination on the body of missing Manchester man Vinny Derrick has revealed he had a number of broken bones.
The post mortem examination carried out on the body of missing Manchester man Vinny Derrick, has concluded that the cause of death remains uncertain.
At 11.45am on Wednesday 15 February 2012, police were called to a flyover of the M60, near junction 3, following reports of human remains being found underneath. Dental evidence has lead to a positive identification of the body.
The dad of one went missing during a works night out in Manchester city centre in the early hours of the 30th of August 2003.
Although the causse of death remains inconclusive tests did reveal that Vinny suffered a number of broken bones leading to suspicions of a fall and involvement in a traffic collision.
Detective Chief Inspector Sara Wallwork, of Stockport CID, said: “This remains a difficult and complex inquiry and the result of the post mortem examination was never going to change that.
“Vinny’s family have been informed of the result and we are continuing to provide them with support and will continue to update them.
“I am continuing to ask that anyone who has any information that could be of assistance to this investigation to please call us."
